My name is Emily, and I'm thrilled to share the story behind this passion project of mine. What began as a simple desire to make a living through creativity has evolved into an expanding candle business I can't imagine my life without. This journey is shaped by values rooted in sustainability, quality, creativity, and community.

Deep Sea Day Dreams was born from my love for creating in 2014 when I discovered candlemaking. By 2015, I had opened my Etsy shop, and for the first five years, it was a fun hobby. However, the COVID lockdown in 2020 allowed me to focus on rebranding and enhancing product quality. This dedication led to significant growth and deeper community connections, first in Columbia, Missouri, and now in Olympia, Washington.

Sustainability is a core value of Deep Sea Day Dreams. Transitioning to 100% soy wax, a renewable resource, ensures cleaner burning candles and all packaging products are selected with this value in mind. I also offer jar returns in Olympia for discounts on future purchases, encouraging recycling and waste reduction.

Quality is paramount in every candle I create. I invest countless hours testing wicks, waxes, and fragrances to ensure each product is long-lasting and well-scented. My goal is to fill your space with unique aromas that create a cozy and inviting atmosphere, consistently exceeding customer expectations.

Creativity and community are at the heart of Deep Sea Day Dreams. Inspired by the sea, I craft unique scents and names that evoke coastal serenity. Building strong relationships with customers, whether in-person or online, is incredibly rewarding. Engaging content, excellent customer service, and meaningful interactions are central to fostering a supportive and welcoming environment.

As I look to the future, my mission expands beyond making candles. I aim to build community and inspire future small business owners. My plans include expanding product lines, hosting local events, enhancing sustainability efforts, and sharing knowledge through workshops.
